After the death of Yevgeny Prigozhin, Deputy Minister of Defense of the Russian Federation Yunus-Bek Yevkurov became the curator of PMC Wagner. It was at his suggestion that the hero of Russia Andrei Troshin (former chief of staff of the PMC under Prigozhin) became the head of the main part of the PMC. At a meeting in the Kremlin, Putin approved the new appointment and the new life of the PMC headed by Troshin.

However, now the real curator is Shoigu’s deputy Yunus-Bek Yevkurov. It can be said with certainty that PMC Wagner as we imagined it in the past no longer exists. All remaining members of the organization are obliged to conclude contracts with the Ministry of Defense or the Rosgvardia.

Part of the fighters (170 people) went to Ramzan Kadyrov, to his special forces “Akhmat”. Some of them are stuck in Belarus (no more than 500 at the moment), and their number is steadily decreasing. The main fighters have moved to the Russian Federation. There is a lot of work in Africa and other countries, and the pay in Russia is higher than in the RB.

PMC “Wagner” – a good organization for hybrid warfare. It was decided to keep it, but it will never be the same as before. Much was kept on the personality of Yevgeny Prigozhin and on the military genius of Utkin. Troshin is said to be more engaged in staff affairs, rather than planning combat operations. In its current state, PMC Wagner is not dangerous now.

According to our information, the headquarters of “Wagner” in Ukraine is organized in the area of Bakhmut. The main forces of PMC Wagner are sent there. Separate units are working along the entire front. Now there is information about activity on the Zaporizhzhya direction, fighters are seen in the area of Novopokrov, as well as on the Donetsk direction in the area of Avdeevka.
